ActEmail

Produce and send HTML emails to your Actinic customers.

This application uses the 'remote control' command line feature of Actinic ™ to download new orders from the Website, processes a copy of the data (the original data files are NEVER written to) and sends HTML email similar to the Actinic ™ receipt page to each customer. An optional Mail Copy To field allows you to have a copy of this mail delivered to your own address, or a fulfillment house.

Once mail has been sent, the Website can be updated, again using the command line feature.

Initially trialled as a manually driven application (requires four button clicks from start to finish - after input of the settings data), the first maintenance upgrade will include a timing control, so that the application may be run fully automatically every ..... period determined by site owner.

In manual mode, you can control the following four actions

1. open Actinic, check for new orders, and close Actinic

2. create the required data files by reading from the ActinicCatalog database (no data is written to the files - no possibility of data corruption),

3. write and send an HTML email to each customer, for each new order.

4. open Actinic, upload your site to update stock, and close Actinic.

In automated mode, these four actions are programmed to repeat at whatever interval you choose.
